That's my longest fic so far. Fun!

In other news, Keira Knightley was in a Top 100 for things most 'overrated' in the US. Funny. Alongside Becks and Posh. *shrug*

I like the new Atonement poster, though. Since it didn't pick up anything over Cate Blanchett at the Venice Film Festival, I'm assuming no Oscars again, but maybe a nomination?

Turns out past uncomfirmed rumours have been debunked!

Jim Broadbent is going to play Slughorn in HP6. Obviously, I'll be waiting until more sources confirm this, but it seems pretty certain now. That particular articles has a picture of Broadbent, but not in Slughorn's bald and walrus-moustached glory.

I think that's pretty exciting, though. Remembering Moulin Rouge, I think Broadbent can do 'slighty eccentric and pompous' quite well. Well, I'm waiting until I see some sneaky screen shots of the bushy moustache to rival Vernon Dursley's, but since they're only starting filming in the next week or something, that'll be months away.

They didn't keep Umbridge's look that secret, though. I guess it'd be pretty impossible not to promote new teachers, especially in the trailer.. hm..

I've just finished re-reading the 7th book, and I'm still in but edging slightly away from my traumatic denial of my favourite character's death. I seem to have developed somewhat of a similar affliction to Tia - that I pick a favourite character and then they die. *cries over Death Note*

However, I shall enjoy my refreshed DH evening and maybe have my own coffee, not partaking in the Ladies' Coffee and Cake Night on tonight. Apparently, mothers like to let their hair down when relative children are in sight.

And my brother has disappeared for two days now - not seriously a missing person, of course. But Dad and I have enjoyed our day off together and .. not together (me cooping myself up in the expanse of the living room and not eating lunch until finishing reading). ^_^;

  More Rumours of Rumours
Aside from mentions of cast members for HP6 (particularly the speculation of Bob Hoskins as Slughorn), there's a comparison of Harry Potter and James Bond here.

I love how "Daniel Radcliffe is rumoured to want to play the role of James Bond as a teenager in a planned film based on the Young Bond series of books written by The Fast Show's Charlie Higson."

I love it! Equus on Broadway is still not quite confirmed, but I don't think even IMDB would have registered this one. Although, I'm not obsessed enough to click on that metaphorical link.

At the moment I have all the tiredness of a migraine, but I can't tell if I'm about to get one (I'm furiously drinking water) or if it's the strange after-effects of bad uni coffee. I think I should start an actual Coffee Club and tour around Newtown, etc and visit various cafes of our choosing and evaluate them on personal criteria for which place and maker we think to be best.

Yes, there's the tick for coffee mentioning in this post.

I'm going through a sudden liking for Billy Talent, particularly 'Nothing to Lose'. I think this is because I actually properly listened to/understood the lyrics the other night. Hm.

Anyway, fingers crossed for my job interview tomorrow (Oh, the dream! Shelving books - me?!) and then I will have to make a phone call to Jenny. It is very much 'make a call'. Hopefully the decision will be win-win, not just for me.

Luf! Very sleepy expression of luf though. -^^-

  Respect those who condemn you?
Check out a cool excerpt of an interview with Sir Ian McKellen here.

Dinner with mother was nice; I still feel very full even though I didn't have dessert. A mocha was enough for me - and it was a special occasion, even though it was my third coffee of the day and just after my 7.30 curfew.

Which bands am I looking forward to seeing at Black Stump this year? Paradyme, the Sundance Kids, Compliments of Gus.. etc etc... Apparently Michael is very 'over' the Amazing Joel Hockey Movement, but the songs still make me laugh as though I haven't heard them before, even though I sing along to every word. But what I really love about Stump is the God-feeding that comes from the teaching and workshops that I go to with low expectations but come out of feeling very changed and blessed. It's great - so many people coming this year that I know who've never been before!

  Rumours of Rumours
The next rumour in a line of fabulous fan-derived suggestions: Daniel Radcliffe as the next Dr. Who.

http://www.people.co.uk/news/tm_headline=potter-star-radcliffe-is-favourite-as-dr-who&method=full&objectid=19758329&siteid=93463-name_page.html

I think this nearly beats the Rumour of a Rumour that Joss Whedon would be doing X-Men 4.

And I made a latte, fyi. I guess I tripped out on macchiatos yesterday. But all is good; I will finish our Pirate assignment for my Anime & Manga class, and maybe play a bit more outlawed Civ II. ^_^

Poetry is not only in words
What have I done?

*Posted a new chapter of my fic
*Read lots of lovely reviews for said fic
*Excitedly read and reviewed The Marriage Stone
*Grumble about a particular friend that I shouldn't bother grumbling about
*Started so many games of Civ II and not gotten past 200 BC I should be outlawed
*Procrastinated on memorising a map of the world

I'm going to go and make a coffee. Yes, I've already received the 'tick' of mentioning coffee for this post. Ah, decisions! What shall I make? I had International Roast this morning.. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Bushells, which, imho, is even worse. I have an affectionate love of the badness of International Roast, but that doesn't extend to Bushells. And I have a pretty dislike of Nescafe. I shudder and my eyes narrow whenever I see the label on Eddy's work shirt.

But - I'm not Queen of the universe (not quite yet), although I am going to a meeting later this afternoon.

"Yes. Yes, mum, you do have to wear something."

Stephen and I are taking our mother dearest to a pre-Birthday Birthday dinner. Well, I'm enjoying a good meal out on someone else's tab.

On the other side, I may be soon working at a bookstore!!! My dream job, practically. Back in the day, I used to want to work at Borders, but since I've stopped stalking people there, it no longer has much of an attraction for me. However, Aiden has regrown a bit of a beard! Err, I mean... I don't stalk people that don't know who I am...

Seriously though: Piracy funds terrorism.

*wink*

  Who Killed My Crema?
It's so difficult to make a macchiato without making a more milky coffee first.

That's my story.

Boo. The end. Stephen is looking over my shoulder and I'm working on piratey pirate names. Stephen thinks I should have finished the story as it was and not said anything else of this sort.

Ta ta.

  My, My
Yes, the times are a-changin'.

A lot has happened! My most precious item is now my espresso machine, I have written more of each of my stories, and lately I have been having very strange dreams, often waking up at 2am with demons or people dying. Eek.

But the dreams where I wake up/am woken up at 7 or 8 am are deliciously fun-filled! Friends and fictional characters making their appearances and going on lots of adventures. I've heard that Optimal Dreaming Time is from 4-7am, so I don't like waking up at 2am.. I blame it on the decaf...

As you may see, I am experimenting with a new template layout. I hope to personalise it and maybe add a picture. *shrug* I'm not really caring at the moment.

Quick-Stix Review: Dragon Ball Z Episodes 1-3

I don't think I'd ever seen these early episodes before. Like with Dragon Ball, I think the-powers-that-be decided these eps were too boring to put on tv.. well, you might remember them and I may be wrong. However, I am now experiencing them in good quality, non-American dub. Yes! Nihongo glory! Well, it's pretty fun, and I can't wait for Vegeta's entrance, him being one of my first (anime, fictional character) loves. Heheh.. *sigh*

^_^

As with Beyblade, which I have now decided it's pointless to try and hide I like it, DBZ was one of my childhood loves, and an early experience of anime. A shame, really, but all the anime I'd known previously was Pokemon, which of course we won't really count. I was also more tomboyish when I was a child than I am now, but I remember P.J. Boyle exclaiming in surprise when I said I like/watched Pokemon. Ahh, those were the days.

Anyway, anyway, anyway... I shall be enjoying myself with Kath and Kim, and maybe even my second coffee for the day (unless I pass by my 7.30 curfew, in which case it will probably be one of those shifty dream-inducing decafs).

I am also rereading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.. Hey, at least the younger kids think I'm cool! Well, I probably know and love HP better than them, but it's been 10 years since I started reading the books.. that's half my life. Those kids probably weren't able to read when I was absorbing 1-through-3. Ahh well, I shall leave it here, and maybe people will occasionally check this page and see I'm posting again.

If you do, please comment! It will be a highlight of my day to be able to ridicule you in my next post. IE shower you with love for giving me attention *wink*

Luf,

Lenny ^_^
