One Hit Wonders are my speciality
Another near all-nighter and I've finished (sort of) another major work! Homemade GJs coffee, some U2 and the recently loved (and overplayed) Passenger Seat - DCFC and some new comfy trackpants - it all makes for some great mind juices. Oh, and I completed that dreaded Ancient assessment too. Not too bad, I reckon.
Ooh, with a proper heading and character list,
Backbench Politics looks great! I've had the most fun with this script (as compared with the writing of my other major works) - it makes me laugh as I reread it, and remember Jess's great rendition of Grandma/Madam Geneva ("They named the peace conferences after
me!") It's a few pages short - I checked and the minimum is 15, so it'll be alright after some tweaking. I want to do another workshop of it. I probably owe it to my original actors (excluding myself) to get them to do it, but I'd really like the splendid year 11s to give it a shot. There's six people in their class too - perfect!
As for some interesting reading, I decided to become more philosophical and pondering rather than just recount (the worst level of essays. bleh. reminds me of upcoming assessments)... So, a list of what constitutes good music/that which I like:
- I can (attempt to) sing along
- Varied repetoire - some hard core, some easy listening, some just beautiful
- Fun (think Queen's Bicycle Race - ha! Did you see on the news those nude environmentalist riders? Fat Bottomed Girls all the way...)
- Quality - this means having a level of talent or skill that blends with the sound.
- Lyrics? I guess I think it's good to have music that means something. The old "if you could write one song that would epitomise your life...."
Yes, and now for bed. Yay for morning classes today/tomorrow! Oh, aren't public holidays just delightful while they're on. I was told not to watch the Football, even though it's already tomorrow.
